• Individual Psychotherapy

    What It Is
Individual psychotherapy can be defined as an intentional interpersonal relationship wherein a trained therapist employs theory and techniques to aid a client or patient in problems of living. Each trained therapist adhere's to a chosen theoretical orientation, providing them with theory and a framework to conceptualize and treatment plan. In our practice, we provide this service to children, adolescents and adults. When It’s Needed Individuals seek therapy for a variety of reasons, from coping with loss, to treating depression or anxiety. Individual psychotherapy can also be used to explore oneself and foster personal growth and reflection. The treatment occurs in one on one sessions, usually once a week. The environment is built on a foundation of trust, confidentiality, and empathy. Through therapy, the clinician and the client actively explore challenging memories, identify aspects of the client’s life to improve, and form better relationships with others. We identify values, and set goals to ensure that you are living according to those values.
